Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the leading product safety testing and certification organization, recently signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with Haier Group’ s freezer company, and issued the world’s first UL certification for a f lammable refrigerant to Haier freezer. Zhou Weifang, vice president of UL and president of UL Greater China, and Li Pan, Haier Group’s global marketing director were present at the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony. Both sides will utilize their own technological strengths and leading positions in their specialized fields to push forward innovations in energy conservation, environmental protection, safety and reliability of residential refrigeration products.
