Chinese companies are transitioning from a 鈥楳ade in China鈥 to a 鈥楥reated in China鈥 paradigm, and Gree is on the forefront of this change. While strengthening its leading position in the room air conditioner (RAC) and light commercial air conditioner segments, Gree has also recently made several breakthroughs in the chiller segment. Increased demand on the construction energy conservation in China has accelerated growth in its centrifugal chiller market. Leading Chinese manufacturers have therefore begun to develop the chiller market, which has been traditionally dominated by U.S. manufacturers. JARN interviewed Huang Hui, vice president of Gree, to learn more about developments at Gree and trends in the Chinese centrifugal chiller market.
