Daikin McQuay Opens Office in Southern Brazil

Daikin has opened an office in the southern city of Porto Alegre. The company is based in Sao Paulo in Brazil and has other regional offices in Rio de Janeiro and Recife. It is also building a plant in Sao Paulo that will serve the Mercosur countries and Mexico with commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. Daikin鈥檚 goal is to lead the HVAC market by 2015.

Midea鈥檚 Centrifugal Cuts Refrigerant 40%
In March, a high energy-efficiency two-stage, full falling- film centrifugal chiller developed by Midea passed accreditation by a committee composed of members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and experts from the Architectural Society of China (ASC), China Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association (CRAA), and China Association of Refrigeration (CAR).
