1. Chinese Cold Chain Market Shows Great Potential
In CR Expo 2011, held in April in Shanghai, China, cold chain products were exhibited for the first time in 22 times exhibition and a new one exhibition hall was used for the products. The market is expected to develop in a high-speed in the following years.

3. Alfa Laval Completes Acquisition of Aalborg Industries
Sweden-based Alfa Laval has completed the acquisition of Denmark-based Abalborg Industries, an equipment and service supplier in the marine sector. The acquisition further strengthens Alfa Laval鈥檚 product offering in heat transfer.

4. Inverter ACs Become Mainstream in China
Inverter air conditioners will become more popular in the Chinese market and are estimate to outclass non-inverter products by 2013. In 2008, the inverter air conditioners only took 9.9% of the market, and in 2010, the figure increased to 31.4%.

5. Rinnai Hybrid Water Heater Acknowledged as Top Level Energy Saver
The world鈥檚 first hybrid water heater 鈥橢co One鈥 released by Japan-based Rinnai in April 2010 was acknowledged as a water heater having the world鈥檚 top-level energy saving performance in the standard that designates the energy-saving performance of single-family houses.

Midea鈥檚 Centrifugal Cuts Refrigerant 40%
In March, a high energy-efficiency two-stage, full falling- film centrifugal chiller developed by Midea passed accreditation by a committee composed of members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and experts from the Architectural Society of China (ASC), China Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association (CRAA), and China Association of Refrigeration (CAR).
