1. Interview: Focusing on APF and New Refrigerants
At the trilateral technical exchange with the representatives of JRAIA, CRAA, and AHRI, held in Shanghai in April, JARN interviewed with Junichi Shimoda, senior engineer of Daikin and Tetsuro Kishimoto, president of JRAIR to learn more about the discussion surrounding APF as well as the status of research on next-generation refrigerants.

3. Compressor Standard for CO2 Heat Pump Water Heater Implemented in China
Although there are currently no CO2 heat pump water heaters sold in China, and the compressor for such products is still under development, the national standard formally implemented on June 1 will play a key role in boosting the products in the new market.

Russian-based General Climate launched a new line of EuroWell chillers, heat pumps and compressor-condenser units.

5. Sanyo Develops Gas AC System with Electricity Generation
Sanyo has development of its Solar Link Excel, an air conditioning and electrical power generating system consisting of a gas heat pump (GHP) air conditioner with a photovoltaic power generating function.
