1. Household Refrigerator Market Shows Robust Growth in Japan
Demand for household refrigerators is showing solid growth. Reflecting increasing consumer attention to setsuden(electricity saving), the market share of models with annual power consumption below 300 kWh has expanded to 61%, up from 35% in the same period of the previous year.

2. Bangkok RHVAC 2011 Held during the Ongoing Flood
The Bangkok RHVAC 2011 and Bangkok E&E 2011 was held from October 12 to 16 in Bangkok, Thailand. Although the number of visitors was slightly lower than the previous exhibition due to the ongoing flood, the current exhibition ended successfully.

3. U.S. Housing Starts Rise in Strongest Pace
Nationwide housing starts rose 15% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 658,000 units in September, marking the strongest pace of residential construction since April of 2010. Especially, multifamily starts rose 51.3% of 233,000 units, their highest level since October of 2008.

4. Wanbo to Build Refrigeration Industry Base in Central China
Guangzhou Wanbao Group will invest RMB 2 billion to build a refrigeration industry base in Shangqiu City, which has convenient transportation and superior location in Central China. The annual manufacturing capacity is 6 million units of compressor for freezer and condensing units for refrigerator truck.

5. Cuba to Set up Refrigerant Demolishing Factory
Currently, there are over 130 tons of R12 and R22 gathered and stored in Cuba. However this situation will be improved in 2012 due to the establishment of refrigerant demolishing factory, being completed in the second half of 2012.
