1. Chinese Government to Release New Policies for Home Appliances
More than 100 million sets of home appliances were sold through the 鈥楬ome Appliances to the Countryside Scheme鈥 with the sales totaling RMB 250 billion (about US$ 40 billion). After the two subsidy policies ended at the end of May last year, the central government new subsidy policies are now being discussed.

3. Zamil Partners with MHI to Produce Centrifugal Chillers in Saudi Arabia
Zamil Air Conditioners, in Middle East, has signed a strategic manufacturing agreement for centrifugal compressors and chillers with MHI* in Japan. The Middle East continues to build massive new structures and creates increasing demands for large tonnage capacity centrifugal chillers.

4. HFCs Represent 0.6% of Greenhouse Gas Emissions
The 2010 Annual Greenhouse Gas Index reveals that in 2010, HFCs represented only 0.605% of the atmospheric lever of greenhouse gases. In 2009, their share was 0.58%, and in 2008, 0.55%.

5. Fujitsu General to Launch 鈥楢irstage鈥 V-II Series VRFs in North America
Toward the end of March, Fujitsu General will release the commercial add-on type 鈥楢irstage鈥 V-II series multi-indoor unit (VRF) systems that have attained the industry鈥檚 top-class energy efficiency of 21.7 in terms of IEER* in the North American market.
