1. HVAC&R Japan 2012 Held in Tokyo--Showing the Latest in Technology
Organized by JRAIA, from February 14 to 17, HVAC&R Japan 2012 took place in Tokyo, and a total of 29,556 visitors attended the expo. Products and systems stressing the compatibility of 鈥榮etsuden鈥 (electricity savings) with comfort stood out at the current expo.

2. Honeywell Opens New Technology Center in India
Honeywell announced the opening of a new technology center in India with US$ 34 million investment in the 8,830 m2 center. In India, Honeywell has five manufacturing locations, 10 key offices and sales presence in more than 50 cities, and the new center is company鈥檚 fourth in India.

3. Compressor Starter Standard to be Enforced in China
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially released the standard 鈥楴on-power Consumption Electrical Starter for Motor of Hermetic Compressor, which regulates the terms and definitions. This standard will be officially implemented from July 1, 2012.

4. Ziehl-Abegg Announces Growth in All Divisions and Regions
The company increased sales by 15% to 358 million Euro in 2011. 鈥淒uring the past three years we have been delighted with consistent double-digit growth,鈥 stated Chairman of the Board Peter Fenkl.

5. Dorin Launches New Products in 2012
Dorin鈥檚 new HEP compressors are characterized by a high efficiency especially at low condensing temperatures and a reduction of working pressure, compared to R404A. HI range has been the first compressor range dedicated to be driven by inverters at variable speed.
