U.S. and China Agree to Work Together to Phase Down HFCs

The U.S. President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping recently agreed to work together along with other countries to use the Montreal Protocol to phase down the consumption and production of HFCs while continuing to include them within the scope of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and its Kyoto Protocol provisions for accounting and reporting of emissions.
