Rush in Demand for RACs Creates Booming Market

Total shipments of room air conditioners (RACs) in fiscal 2013 (April 2013-March 2014) are very likely to record an all-time high. Various factors including the intense heat waves last summer led to higher use of heat ump air conditioners, and a rush in demand in anticipation of the upcoming consumption tax increase in April has also contributed to the rise.
