Three Major Ground-source Heat Pump Projects Start in Beijing

In October 2019, the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission approved three ground-source heat pump projects, located in Shijingshan, Haidian, and Shunyi, respectively. These three projects will be completed within the next two years. After completion, the total heating area will reach 360,000 m2, and the projects will replace about 4,500 tons of coal, equivalent to reducing CO2 emissions by 11,300 tons and NOx emissions by 6.7 tons.
