Trends in VRF Refrigerants Currently, refrigerants such as R32, R454B, and R466A are considered as promising alternatives to R410A. However, for variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems that use a large amount of refrigerant, the selection of an optimal refrigerant is a major focus. Although various studies have been conducted so far, it is not yet clear which refrigerant will be the most promising, and this trend is drawing attention.
