During the past year, impacted by floods, rising raw material prices and the COVID-19 pandemic, the air conditioner industry in China has been under siege. According to All View Cloud (AVC) monitoring data, the air conditioner industry in China saw a retail volume of 50.35 million units in refrigeration year 2021 (RY, end of August 2021), falling by 5.8% year on year; the retail value came to RMB 159.88 billion (about US$ 24.77 billion), falling slightly, by 0.1% year on year.
