Honeywell Announces New Low-GWP Refrigerant for Supermarkets

Honeywell announced that it would offer Solstice N71 (R471A), a new refrigerant for commercial and industrial refrigeration that is optimized for supermarkets. The latest addition to Honeywell’s low-GWP Solstice lineup is non-flammable (A1) and has a global warming potential (GWP) of 148. It is a blend of the hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerants R1234ze(E) and R1336mzz(E), and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant R227ea.
