Each year since 1974, the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the National Associations of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) partner to help local communities and medical personnel honor emergency medical services (EMS) practitioners. These frontline workers offer life-saving care before a patient arrives at the hospital, and the week of May 15 is dedicated to showing our appreciation for their service to our communities.
