France Swelters in May

Ouest France has reported that in France, May 2022 was one of the hottest ever, and rainfall was extremely low. From May 1 to 15, the average temperature in France was 2.7ºC higher than the usual temperature, and reached record levels in some parts of the country, particularly in the southwest and in the Rhone Valley. Record temperatures were reached in cities such as Albi, Toulouse, and Montelimar in southern France where the mercury hit 33.4 to 33.9ºC.
