HPTCJ Publishes Research Report on HP Penetration in Overseas Markets

Heat Pump & Thermal Storage Technology Center of Japan (HPTCJ) has conducted research on the extent to which heat pumps have penetrated overseas markets, and announced the research results as a report. At a time when decarbonization efforts are accelerating globally, Japan is no exception, and its Strategic Energy Plan has recently been revised. Japan’s energy policy is at a turning point. In the fiscal year (FY) 2021 ending March 2022, HPTCJ carried out research on heat pump-related policies and the extent to which heat pumps have penetrated the market in Europe and the United States. The additional research conducted this time is intended to enable organization of heat pump-related policies and information on the extent to which heat pumps have penetrated the market in Europe and the United States, and to prepare basic materials for studying how Japan’s heat pump-related energy policies and measures designed to achieve greater heat pump use should be.
