1. ISK-SODEX Boosts Turkish HVAC&R Export Potential
ISK-SODEX, the leading heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) exhibition of the Eurasian region, was held as a hybrid event from September 29 to October 2, 2021, at Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey. During the expo, Turkey- based manufacturers met with 300 professional buyers, 46% more than in 2019, from 53 countries, up from 44 countries in 2019. This approach is bearing fruit - The Turkish HVAC&R sector achieved an additional US$ 500 million in export potential for the coming two years.

2. Thirty-one Manufacturers Apply for PLI Scheme in India
Voltas, Blue Star, Amber, Daikin, Panasonic, and Havells are among the 31 manufacturers who have applied for the Indian government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for air conditioner components. The total investment proposed is Indian rupee (INR) 49.95 billion (about US$ 676 million).

3. Danfoss Breaks Ground on New Turbocor Manufacturing Facility
Danfoss held a groundbreaking event for its new manufacturing facility in Tallahassee, Florida, on September 21, 2021. The new facility will triple the current manufacturing capacity to meet a fast-growing demand from the American, European and Asian-Pacific markets for cooling and heating high-efficiency compressors.

4. Power Supply Shortage in China Impacts HVAC&R Companies
A power shortage is sweeping across many provinces in China, including Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangxi, and Yunnan. As of the end of September, power outages and supply restrictions reportedly occurred in 20 of the 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and directly controlled cities.

5. Diversity Is Important for Future Air Conditioning - Utilization of IoT & AI
Conventional control of air conditioning was based on providing uniform comfort by keeping the room and living space at a uniform temperature. However, if the residents, the structure, materials, and location of each house change, the optimum air conditioning for each will also change, making uniform air conditioning insufficient. People and environments are really diverse. Therefore, air conditioning that corresponds to each person and place is now required, so diversity has been ushered into the air conditioning sector.
