1. Daikin Europe to Focus on Heat Pump Business
For the next five years, the focus of Daikin Europe is to contribute to the global environmental plan with the expansion of its heat pump business, developing energy-saving air conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) equipment with lower global warming potential (GWP). To innovate in hydronic heat pump and refrigeration technology, Daikin decided to establish its global R&D Center in Ghent in Belgium and drastically expand its capabilities there.

2. TCL Intelligent Production Strategy Creates a Win-win Relationship with Its Partners
TCL held a key event, the 2021 TCL Air-conditioner Global Partners Conference in Nansha, Guangzhou, China. Prior to the conference, TCL organized a tour of the company’s showroom, production lines, laboratories, inverter controller workshop, etc. for all attendees, enabling them to experience the entire intelligent manufacturing process at TCL’s automation and digital factory.

3. The Kigali Amendment Celebrates Five Years of Accelerating Progress
Five years ago, on October 16, 2016, the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer agreed to the Kigali Amendment.  Leaders in the global air conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) and heat pump industry companies have every reason to celebrate the five-year anniversary of the Kigali Amendment and to look forward to a better world without high-GWP HFCs.

4. AHRI to Advance Energy Efficiency in the MENA Region
The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and the Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further compliance with harmonized energy efficiency policies, codes, and regulations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The agreement outlines shared goals for both organizations and encourages regional dialogue with stakeholders on building performance, energy conservation, and environmental sustainability

5. Mitsubishi Electric Releases Lossnay Operating in Linkage with RACs
On November 1, 2021, Mitsubishi Electric began selling Lossnay total heat exchanger residential ventilation system that responds to the Smart e-Flo system and operates in linkage with a room air conditioner (RAC) for the first time in the industry in Japan.
